One of the few English Counties with no Quarterly Meeting of its own. From 1668, part of Shropshire & Montgomeryshire (also called Dolobran) MM, within North Wales QM and Wales Yearly Meeting. Montogomery was detatched in the mid 18th century, and Shropshire MM continued as part of North Wales QM and Wales YM until 1797. Thereafter it formed part of Wales Half Yearly Meeting (1797-1832), Hereford, Worcester and Wales General Meeting (1832-1868), and Western General Meeting (from 1868). The MM has been united with Worcestershire as Worcester & Shropshire MM since 1859.
